Deciding on a school for your children is a decision that you should not take lightly. It is natural to have many concerns about which option is the best for your child. Many parents are unsure about the quality of education their child would receive in public school, and how they would adapt to such an environment. Boarding school is an option that more and more parents are considering.
And after researching the effects of boarding school on children, it’s clear that this type of education is a great option. I would recommend boarding schools to any parent out there and here is how these institutions can give your child the very best educational experience.
Additional Investment
When it comes to the budget that boarding schools have to work with, the result is a much higher investment into the facilities and the programs offered that public schools simply cannot compete with. Most other schools cannot compare to the attention and the quality of teaching which can be offered in a boarding school. My child in particular was never a huge fan of the arts, but given the options that were available to him in public school, it left him very unsatisfied. Many boarding schools have extensive performing arts high school programs, in addition to additional and alternative sports programs like cross-fit, surfing, and yoga.
Level of Education
It is not only higher quality facilities and a wide range of options which boarding schools can offer, their ability to give high level education is unrivaled. The reason for this superior level of education is because boarding schools attract and select the best teachers in the land, those who care and those who are specialists in their field. Boarding schools will also offer your child smaller class sizes and a deeper level of education than state schools who teach for tests and exams rather than simply to impart knowledge.
Teaching People
Because of the fact that your child will be living on campus, boarding schools not only educate its pupils about subjects but also about human development and character growth. This is one of the most noticeable aspects of my child’s education and the results that boarding school life have had on his character have been incredibly positive. Public schools only see their students for perhaps 6 hours per day, barely enough time to teach the syllabus, let alone improve the characters of their students. Boarding schools seek to give students a ‘complete education’ which extends beyond history, modern languages and mathematics, to character building and personal growth.
Sending your child to boarding school may be a difficult decision but taking the decision to do so, can greatly improve the chances of your child having a successful life.
